Design Story

The composition is smarter than it first looks. Arched circus-style lettering across the top, an underlined kicker line at the bottom, and the illustration locked between them like a framed postcard. Burnt orange and rust tones carry the whole palette: a low sun, a windmill silhouette, a longhorn skull, cactus, a jack-o'-lantern and a weathered Texas flag. The masked figure holds a chainsaw at rest, not raised, and that stillness is what makes the scene unsettling instead of loud. Contrast does the heavy lifting, warm sunset glow against black.
